Featuring extensive interviews with culinary icon Diana Kennedy and renowned chefs José Andrés, Rick Bayless, Gabriela Cámara, and Alice Waters, this documentary offers an intimate portrait of the world’s leading authority on Mexican cuisine. The author of nine acclaimed cookbooks and a two time James Beard Award winner, Kennedy has often been called the “Julia Child of Mexico,” though the fiercely independent cook prefers the title “The Mick Jagger of Mexican Cuisine.” Through archival footage and candid moments, the film explores her lifelong dedication to preserving the traditions and ingredients of regional Mexican cooking.
