ANGEL DOSE

Angel Dose is an urgent and intimate short documentary from Oscar nominated filmmaker Sami Khan about one man going above and beyond to deliver hope and healthcare to those who need it most. Each night after his shift, Tarik, a Muslim American nurse, races against time to deliver expiring COVID vaccines across Philadelphia to homebound patients before the doses spoil. As the 2022 midterms approach, the cheerful and relentlessly optimistic Tarik realizes that addressing systemic inequities in healthcare will require more than late night deliveries. Determined to create lasting change, he decides to run for political office, challenging an entrenched establishment candidate and confronting the realities of grassroots politics.
